Teenage mothers in Gamesley are being invited to attend weekly sessions, where they can receive regular support and guidance and share their experiences with other young mums living in the High Peak.
Co-ordinated by Home-start High Peak, the 'Teens with Tots' sessions are currently running every Tuesday from 12.30pm - 2.30pm at Gamesley Community Centre.
Trained support workers will be on hand to give emotional and practical help to any teenage parent with at least one child under the age of five. Teenagers who are expecting a baby are welcome to attend these sessions.
Andrew Bingham, Executive Councillor for Social and Community Development, said: "The central aim is to bring young mums together so that they can share their experiences, identify their concerns, and get much needed support from a qualified group of people. Anyone living in the Borough is welcome to attend."
All sessions are free and lunch is provided. Young families are welcome to bring along their children. Transport can be made available upon request.
