Glossop Leisure Centre launches 2 exciting new sessions as part of its children's term time activity programme this week.
On Friday evenings children aged 7 to 11 years old can try a variety of different activities, and perhaps discover hidden talents at the multi sports sessions. The sessions, which run between 5:30pm and 6:30pm, will feature a different sport each week including: dodge ball volleyball and cricket.
A new junior Boxercise session will provide young people aged between 11 and 16 years old with a great workout session to music. Boys and girls will learn a range of punches and routines, whilst enjoying a great cardio vascular workout, between 5 pm and 6 pm on Fridays.
The 2 new activities cost £2.25 per week and there is no need to book.
A wide range of sports coaching sessions are available throughout the week, including: badminton on Mondays, basketball on Tuesdays, squash on Wednesdays and Sundays and junior football on Fridays.
Councillor Andrew Bingham, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Social and Community Development, said: "These new sessions add to the exciting range of activities available for young people at our leisure sites, and confirm the Council's commitment to encourage children to have a healthy lifestyle. Why not drop in to Glossop Leisure Centre and try them out?"
