Residents who think that they had a bit too much turkey and Christmas pudding are invited to sign up to Buxton Spa Pool's new Stream Card scheme.
Stream Cardholders are entitled to 12 weeks of personalised swimming coaching and fitness training, which includes advice on healthy eating. They will attend 3 coached sessions per week given by fully trained instructors, and will have unlimited access to all public and lane swims at Buxton Pool.
The coached sessions take place on Mondays from 7.30pm to 8.15pm and on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 7pm and 8pm.
The Stream Card costs £99 and is valid from Monday 21 January to Sunday 13 April, when cardholders will be able to buy an Aquacard for a 20% discount (only £208 for an adult). The Aquacard provides unlimited swims for 12 months during Public swimming, Lane swims, Early Bird swims, Ladies Swims and Active 4 Life Swims.
Councillor Andrew Bingham, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Community and Social Development, said: "This seems like a superb way to get trim and healthy for the spring. The Stream Card is an ideal way to access the facilities at Buxton Pool and receive expert coaching and advice on nutrition and health."
A limited number of Stream Cards are available, so please apply now to avoid disappointment. Ring Buxton Spa Swimming Pool on 01298 26548.
