Buxton Spa Pool has 2 new groups to help residents make a healthy start to 2008.
A ladies' jogging club is held on Fridays between midday and 1 pm. The group, which is led by experienced fell runner Ged Cudahy, is for runners of all abilities. Joggers work at their own pace for 20 to 30 minutes. The cost is £2.70 per session and crèche places are available.
A new yoga class starts on 22 January and runs for 6 weeks between 1.30pm and 3pm every Tuesday. The cost is £27 for the whole course, which should be booked in advance.
Councillor Andrew Bingham, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Social and Community Development, said: "The Council is committed to helping residents adopt a healthy lifestyle. I am pleased that we are able to offer these extra choices at Buxton Pool."
