The next meeting of the Glossop and Gamesley Healthy Heart Group will be on Tuesday 12 February at 1:30 pm at Gamesley Community Centre.
This session will feature an armchair exercise session and a prize-winning quiz to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. The quiz will cost £1.50 to enter.
The Heart Group is friendly and informal. Residents who have heart problems and their families and carers get together to chat with people in similar circumstances. The Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month to listen to guest speakers or to take occasional trips and days out.
Councillor Andrew Bingham, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Community and Social Development, said: "Exercise is an important part of keeping a healthy heart. If you or your family have heart problems then do contact Gamesley Community Centre to find out more about the Healthy Heart Club - or pop along on Tuesday 12 February. When heart trouble appears in your family it can be a very worrying time. The Healthy Heart Group is a great opportunity to speak to people who have been through the same experiences and get reassurances from them."
