The Friends of Howard Park are inviting families along for a free Fun Day this Sunday, 22 June.
The activities will take place next to the children's play area in the park between 1pm and 4pm.
Children can learn how to surprise their friends and family with some circus skills training, and have their faces painted, or work on their own creative skills in the art and craft sessions.
There will be orienteering for those who enjoy a geographical challenge, and a fun quiz for the ones who prefer less physical problem solving.
Glossop's best dressed teddies will be competing for prizes -- but only if the children remember to bring their bears along, in their glad rags at 3pm.
Gerard Riley, Chairman of the Friends of Howard Park, said: "We are hoping that this will be a great afternoon of fun entertainment in the park. The Friends are keen to organise activities throughout the year, including practical planting tasks and the annual carol concert -- so come down to Howard Park and don't forget to bring your teddy bear."
Andrew Bingham, Executive Councillor for Community and Social Development, said: "Well, this sounds a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon with the family. Why not pop along to Howard Park this Sunday?"
