A total of 60 competitors, including 25 children took part in this year's Sett Valley Fun Run, which consisted of two races -- a five-mile run to Hayfield and back, and a three-mile return race to Birch Vale.
For the second year running, Sean Whewell won the men's five-mile event. Liz Bowden won the ladies' five-mile event.
Darren Peatfield won the men's three-mile event for the second year while the winner of the three-mile ladies' race was 11-year-old Elizabeth Apsley.
Every winner received a trophy and vouchers, and all the competitors received medals and two free passes for swimming.
Andrew Bingham, Executive Councillor for Community and Social Development, said: "The Fun Run was a brilliant success, with people of all ages taking part. Congratulations to all of the competitors. It just goes to show that exercise can be great fun!"
