Health checks and stopping smoking at Gamesley

The next meeting of the Gamesley and Glossop District Health Group will be on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 1:30pm, at Gamesley Community Centre.

Gillian Morgan, a practice nurse from Cottage Lane Surgery, will be visiting to check people's blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

Ashleigh Walmsley, from the Stop Smoking Service, will also be there to give practical help and support for anyone wishing to give up smoking

Andrew Bingham, Executive Councillor for Community and Social Development, said: "Why not pop along to the Gamelsey and Glossop District Health Club for some valuable advice and support? This is an ideal opportunity for you to kick the habit, or just get your blood pressure checked."

There is an attendance charge of £1.20, which will be donated to the group, to help subsidise future outings.
