Residents across the High Peak should have received the new Binnovation recycling calendars.
The new calendars follow on from previous ones, which expired at the end of September. They show how the alternate weekly collection will continue to operate and which bins residents should put out for collection each week -- the green-lidded recycling bin or the black refuse bin.
Changes in the operation of the green box scheme now mean that green boxes need to be put out by the highway the night before the collection day, due to collections now starting earlier than before.
The fortnightly collections of the green kerbside box, for glass and tins, and the bags for paper and textiles, will also be shown.
The Binnovation system consists of:
Collections occur each week -- on week one, the green-lidded bin will be collected, and on week two, the black bin, for non-recyclable rubbish, will be collected.
The calendars also show the arrangements for Christmas collections, which may be different to last year's.
John Haken, Executive Councillor for the Environment, said: "Please let us know if you have not received your new recycling calendar. Please pay particular attention to details of Christmas waste collections. In response to residents' comments, and in an effort to maximise recycling, collections of the green-lidded bin will continue for most residents over the festive period."
Residents who have not received the new calendars should contact the Council on 0845 129 7777, or email customer-services@highpeak.gov.uk.
