Now that the schools have started back and the nights are drawing in, why not give the children something to do in the evenings at Glossop Leisure Centre?
If they have been inspired by the Olympics, then children, aged 6 years and over, could try badminton on Mondays at 4:30pm.
On Tuesday evenings, at 6.30pm, 8 to 12 year olds can have a go at basketball.
On Friday afternoons, at 5.30pm, 8 to 12 year olds can tackle the multi sports session.
The highly popular Box fit sessions for older children, aged 11 -16 years, also takes place on Fridays at 5pm. The session is led by the Leisure Centre's fitness team, and must be booked in advance.
Children, aged 6 years and over, can have a Sunday morning warm-up with a bit of squash coaching at 10am.
All these sessions are just £2.25 an hour.
During the day, parent and toddler sessions, gym fun sessions and kid's football sessions are available for pre-school children.
For further details pick up a leaflet from Glossop Leisure Centre reception or visit our leisure pages.
