The Glossop and District Sailing Club has organised a windsurfing taster session for young people at Torside Reservoir, on Saturday, September 20, 2008, from 2pm to 4pm.
The club will be using a new rig bought with a grant from a £500 grant from the Borough Council's Community Fund.
Andrew Bingham, Executive Councillor for Social and Community Development, will meet club members and young people, and will have a go at windsurfing himself.
On-shore training, using a simulator will take place from 2pm to 3pm, and -- wind and weather permitting -- the windsurfing will start on the water at around 3pm.
