The Council would like to apologise to residents about the disruptions to refuse and recycling collections, due to the bad weather. We are making every effort to deal with the backlog, and extra resources will be put in place to catch up.
If your green-lidded bin (garden waste and cardboard) is missed this week or next week (week commencing 9 February), please take your bin back in and wait for the next scheduled collection. Extra waste will be taken if presented in High Peak Borough Council's clear bags - call 0845 129 77 77 if you need clear bags.
If your black bin is missed, please leave it out for collection, as we will be prioritising these collections. Please be aware that there will be a large backlog of bins to collect, so some crews may not be able to return for these bins until next week (week commencing 9 February).
If your box has been missed this week (week commencing 2 February), please leave it out for collection. However, if it has not been collected by Saturday afternoon, please take the box back in and wait for your next scheduled collection. Extra recycling will be taken if presented in carrier bags or other suitable containers.
