DC Leisure Services has organised a fun-packed programme of activities for young people throughout the High Peak for this half term.
Glossop Leisure Centre is offering organised fun and games on Monday, February 16, 2009, for four to seven year olds between 9am and 10am, and cheerleading for all age groups from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, from 12 noon to 1pm, there is a Box Fit session for 12 to 15 year olds.
Other activities during the week include football, gymnastics, street dance, arts and crafts and cricket for various age groups.
At Glossop Pool, there are aqua scooter sessions for children, aged eight and above, between 9am and 10am on Wednesday, February 18, and Friday, February 20.
At Buxton Spa Pool there are aqua scooter sessions for children, aged eight and above, from 10am to 11am, and 11am to 12 noon on Tuesday, February 17.
At New Mills Leisure Centre, there is lots of fun for children, including a Bouncy Castle for four to six year olds on Monday, February 16, from 9:30am to 10:30am and Games Galore on Wednesday, February 18, between 9:30am and 10:30am. On Friday, February 20, there is a Time Out session between 10am and 12 noon, for children aged seven and above. It includes basketball, hockey, and table tennis.
Councillor Andrew Bingham, Executive Councillor for Community and Social Development, said: "We have tried to find something for everyone in this programme. Please come along, have some half term fun and let us know afterwards what you think. We always try to offer what people want so any feedback we can get is tremendously useful."
