Street cleaners were in action at 5.30am on Sunday 12 July to tidy up Buxton town centre after the previous day's carnival.
Eight members of High Peak Borough Council's Clean Team removed around three tonnes of bottles, empty beer cans and fast food packaging to leave the town looking spick and span.
The team was helped this year by counterparts from Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, which provided a refuse wagon to empty the extra bins that had been placed around the town centre.
Said John Haken, executive councillor for the environment: "The team did a great job in thoroughly cleaning the town centre before most of the previous day's revellers had eaten their breakfast. I know the Clean Team much appreciated the help it had from Staffordshire Moorlands this year".
