What kind of place do you want the High Peak to be?

Residents of the Derbyshire Dales and High Peak are being asked for their help in developing the future plans for the area.

A major consultation exercise on the issues that the area faces and the potential options for addressing them gets underway on 26 March 2009, and runs through until 21 May 2009.

Prepared by Derbyshire Dales District Council, and High Peak Borough Council the Core Strategy Issues and Options Consultation Document seeks views on the:

Linda Baldry, Executive Councillor for Planning said: "We would like people's views on the key issues that the Core Strategy needs to address and the options that have been identified to do this. Once adopted the Core Strategy will form the basis for the District Council's decisions about how the area develops up to the year 2026 so we want as many people as possible to share their views with us."
