Hatha Yoga for health and well being

Date: 31/03/2009

If your spring agenda includes finding health and well being, then look no further than Glossop Leisure Centre, where a new Hatha Yoga course may help you.

Yoga is an ancient discipline that promotes mental and physical health. Students will discover strength, suppleness and poise. No special abilities are needed to start and many minor tensions, aches and pains will disappear when you do.

Hatha Yoga describes the physical aspect of Yoga. It involves slow paced stretching, along with breathing exercises and meditation.

The 5-week course, which costs £25 (£20 for concessions), runs on Tuesday afternoons between 1.30pm and 3pm. Alternatively, a single drop in session costs £5.50.

Andrew Bingham, Executive Councillor for Social and Community Development, said: "If you are feeling tired and under the weather then the new Yoga course could provide you with a gentle way to feel healthier."

Please book in advance to reserve a place by calling Glossop Leisure Centre on 01457 842272.
