Glossop's best-dressed teddies will be vying for prizes as part of a feast of family fun on Sunday 14 June.
The children's play area of Howard Park is the scenic setting for a free Fun Day running from 1pm to 4pm.
Staged by the Friends of Howard Park and High Peak Borough Council, the celebration will give youngsters a chance to learn circus skills, have their faces painted and take part in art and craft sessions. There will also be a light-hearted quiz.
But the highlight for many will be the judging of the best-dressed bears, to be carried out at 3pm by Deputy Borough Mayor Cynthia Mitchell - as long as the tots remember to bring along their bruins in their glad rags!
Just for good measure, there will be an opening of an octagonal duck canopy provided as part of an island refurbishment project organised by the Friends and funded by Derbyshire Community Foundation's Grassroots Grants Scheme, High Peak Borough Council's Going Local Fund and a very generous donation from local couple Malcolm and Ailsa Thompson. This project has provided a much-needed refurbishment of the badly eroded island and dilapidated duck house, to make a brand new island home for the park's many waterfowl.
Said Friends chairman Gerard Riley: "We're hoping this will be a great afternoon of fun entertainment in the park.
"We're keen to organise activities throughout the year - including practical planting tasks and the annual carol concert - so come down to Howard Park and don't forget to bring your teddy bear", he urged.
