Following the sad loss of High Peak Mayor Tony Bingham, his Central Area Charity Committee is now looking to distribute the money raised during his time as Mayor.
The money was raised predominantly from a Mayoral Golf Day at New Mills Golf Club last month (September). It was always Tony's wish that the fund should be distributed among small local charities that would really feel the benefit of a few extra pounds.
The committee would like local groups and charities from the Central Area to contact it by Thursday 19 November to apply for some of Tony's charity money.
