High Peak Borough Council has backed a free event for fledgling businesses and people wanting to turn their business ideas into reality.
Targeted at those who are considering being self employed, the workshop will take place at Glossop Business Centre, in High Street West on Wednesday 7 October.
The workshop will feature a marketplace of business support from advisory organisations plus short presentations from Business Link and HM Revenues and Customs.
Attendees will also be able to share experiences with people who have recently started their own business.
Said Tony Kemp, Executive Councillor for Regeneration: "The event will provide a fantastic opportunity for businesses to generate new leads and find suppliers among local companies.
"Those attending will be able to pick up marketing ideas, tax advice and information about business support", he commented.
The event is being run by Derbyshire Enterprise Agency, which provides access to Business Link's regional start-up service.
