Making cash payments

We provide a plastic swipe card for making payment at any Post Office or other outlet displaying the PayPoint sign. Please contact us and we will arrange for a swipe card to be issued to you. Cash cannot be accepted at Council offices.

There are other ways to pay which are listed below but the Council's preferred method is Direct Debit.

If you are a Council tenant, you will automatically be sent a swipe card to pay your rent. Anyone wanting a swipe card for any other payment will need to apply for one.

You should pay the instalments on or before the dates shown on your Bill / Special Payment Arrangement Letter. You can pay using the methods detailed below.

Debit Card

Please ring 0845 129 4858 to make payments via Switch or Delta.

Credit Card

You can pay IN FULL via Access, Visa, Mastercard or Eurocard by ringing 0845 129 4858. Please note that the use of Credit Cards is only permitted where full account balances are being made. From 1st April 2010, there is a charge of £2.50 for each payment by Credit Card.

It is essential that your Bank/Building Society quotes your account reference number, as shown on your Bill / Special Payment Arrangement letter, with every payment.
