At High Peak Borough Council, we have been connected to NLIS at level 2 since March 2003 and are currently able to receive searches and fees electronically, making the process much quicker and more efficient. Currently, we return the search by first class post, but aim to return results electronically as soon as we have the technology in place.
In 2006-2007, 85% of our searches were completed within five working days or less.
If you have a pressing need to have your search result processed very quickly, we will do all we can to meet your target. There is no additional fee for this service.

High Peak Borough Council's preferred method of receiving LLC1 and CON29 search requests is through NLIS (National Land Information Service).
No, the search is purely done on the property outlined on the search request. However, if you have any concerns about planning permissions on neighbouring properties, you can submit an optional additional question which gives you the opportunity to ask a specific question, such as, Are there any planning permissions on the immediate neighbours properties as outlined on the attached plan? If you have concerns about areas of land, please be specific by colouring or outlining the area in question.
Please note that we cannot answer subjective queries, such as planning, that might affect the enjoyment or amenity or views, or planning in the near vicinity. Be precise, tell us the exact property or properties or area you are interested in and then we can give you an accurate result. The fee for an additional enquiry is £16.
Please check that your query is in the CON29 required enquiries or can be requested in CON29 optional enquiries. The fee for each enquiry in the latter is £16.
