
Local Nature Reserves are for both people and wildlife. They are places with birds, animals, plants or geological features that are of special interest locally.
The value of a site for its wildlife or geological interest can generally be greatly increased by good management. The Borough Council works with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust to agree and implement a management plan for our local nature reserves.
