This Guidance Note draws together all policies relevant to sustainable design and construction from within the High Peak Local Plan and accompanying supplementary guidance. The aim of the Guidance Note is to set out and promote the Borough Council’s aspirations for new developments to be of the highest quality design and to contribute to the sustainable development of the area.
The Guidance Note includes a reference chart that sets out all Local Plan policies relating to sustainable design and construction. There is also a checklist of information that should be supplied with a planning application to show how these policies have been met. This will form the required sustainability statement.
