High Peak Borough Council will be hosting a series of events and activities for both staff and local residents, to celebrate National Customer Service Week, from Monday, October 1, to Sunday, October 7.

To mark the occasion, our Customer Services team will be carrying out website demonstrations at our three Council reception areas:

Local people are invited to call in, between 10am and 3pm, for a demonstration on how to access information on the Council’s website and to see how to complete online forms, such as making a payment, applying for a Council job or to request a green recycling box. Call Centre

“An increasing number of our services are accessible online 24 hours a day, and this is the ideal opportunity for people in the High Peak to find out exactly what’s available,” said Emily Thrane, Executive Member for Corporate Services.

She added: “National Customer Services Week is an exciting opportunity for everyone to find out how to contact us and see what the Council does for the local community. I hear that there will also be the opportunity to try some of the team’s home-made cakes as well so do please come and join us!”

Representatives from the Customer Services team will also be attending the Area Forum meetings at

to consult residents about how and when they would like to contact the Council. The Area Forums start at 7 pm, and the team will be available to speak with residents before the Forum begins.

During the week, the Customer Services team plan to raise funds for the High Peak Diabetic Self-help Group, by selling home-made cakes to their colleagues.
