Camping site licence
To run a camping site on land within the High Peak borough, you may need a licence from the council. -
Car boot sale and temporary market authorisation
To hold a car boot sale or Temporary Market within the borough you may need authorisation from the Council. -
Caravan and camping site licence
To run a caravan and camping site you need a licence from the council if the site is within the borough. -
Cooling tower notification
You must tell your council if your commercial site uses a cooling tower or evaporative condenser. -
Environmental permit
You must have an environmental permit if you operate a regulated facility in England. -
Food premises registration
To store, prepare, distribute or sell food on premises you need to be registered with the council if your premises are within the borough. -
Hairdresser notification
There is no legal requirement but we do ask hairdressers to register with us to ensure your business complies with health and safety rules. -
House in Multiple Occupancy (HMO) licence
If you rent out a property for house in multiple occupancy (HMO) within the borough, you will require a licence from the council. -
House to house collections licence
To carry out house-to-house collections for charitable purposes within the borough you need a licence from the council. -
Hypnotism authorisation
If you wish to show, demonstrate or perform a hypnotism act on any person in public within the borough, you must have written authorisation. -
Motor salvage operator licence
If you are a motor salvage operator within the borough, you must be registered with the council. -
Pet shop licence
To run a business selling pet animals within the borough you need a licence from the council. -
Pleasure boat licence
To hire out water-bound pleasure crafts (including sailboards, rowing boats, canoes, motor boats and larger boats) you need a licence. -
Riding establishment licence
To run a riding establishment (where horses or ponies are hired out for riding or used for riding instruction) you need a licence. -
Scrap metal dealers registration
To be a scrap metal dealer within the borough, you need to register with the council. -
Sex shop and cinema licence
To run a sex shop or a venue where explicit films are shown you will need a licence from the council. -
Special treatment registration (premises)
If you run an establishment for 'special treatments' then you may be required to register your premises. -
Street collection licence
To collect money or sell articles for the benefit of charitable or other purposes you require a street collection licence from the council. -
Tattooing, piercing, acupuncture and electrolysis licence
To offer tattooing, piercing, acupuncture and electrolysis, the person and the premises must have a licence from the council. -
Zoo licence
To run a zoo within the borough you need a licence from the council.
