High Peak Borough Council has recruited a Regeneration Officer to specifically focus on helping to boost the economy and tourism in towns around Whaley Bridge. As a result of the Toddbrook Incident, High Peak Borough Council was awarded funding from central Government. Each Town Council has identified specific projects; to be delivered, such as local trails leaflets for walks and cycle routes, a tourism marketing campaign as well as developing visitor facilities. By working with businesses, communities and Town Councils, the dedicated member of staff will link with other agencies such as the Canal & River Trust and business organisations that can help us to raise the profile of the area and encourage tourists and visitors to "take a fresh look" at the area.

We can also assist in getting access to the wealth of business support, advice, events and grants available to help businesses grow and put you in touch, if required with an experienced Business Advisor to provide bespoke assistance.

An exciting programme of bespoke events will be delivered in this area, the first of which will be in Whaley Bridge around digital marketing on 26 March 3-5pm at the Mechanics Institute. For this and future events, please book your place: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/digital-marketing-for-high-street-businesses-tickets-91280966829
