My stock is perishable. How do l dispose of it safely? Has the power supply been disrupted?

It has come to light that during the Whaley Bridge incident, there was a period of time when part of the town of Whaley Bridge was without an electrical supply.

It is possible that refrigerated units and possibly freezer cabinets were not operational. Residents and businesses must therefore consider the potential food safety hazards that may be present with foods that have been stored in fridge and freezer cabinets.

If you have any waste from perishable stock please double bag it and clearly label "do not use".

If you have room in your commercial bin then use this.

If additional collections are required please arrange with your provider.

If you are concerned about refrigeration or freezer storage that food is potential unsafe it will need to be disposed of as above.
