This workshop, delivered by the University of Derby, explains what new product development is and briefly covers the history and pioneers of product development. We will delve into several of the different process models, including product development lifecycles, and discuss the best practices for developing your own new product introduction processes.
The workshop will also set out a series of stages that new products typically go through, beginning with ideation and concept generation, and ending with the product or service introduction to the market.
