Today's collections

Friday 24th January 

  All scheduled collections have been completed. 

Thursday 23rd January 

Due to parked cars blocking access brown bin collections on Bowden Lane, Chapel en le Frith have not been completed. Crews will return to reattempt collections week commencing 27th January. 

Due to parked cars blocking access black bin collections on Primrose Crescent, Glossop have not been completed. Crews will return to reattempt collections week commencing 27th January. 

Wednesday 22nd January 

All scheduled collections have been completed. 

Tuesday 21st January 

All scheduled collections have been completed. 

Monday 20th January 

All scheduled collections have been completed. 

Friday 17th January 

Due to unforeseen circumstances brown bins in rural areas of Whaley Bridge, Edale, Buxworth, Hope Valley and Bamford. As a result of this crews have been instructed to make a double collection for these properties on the next scheduled brown bin collection which will take place on the 31st January.

Thursday 16th January 

Due to unforeseen circumstances brown bins in rural areas of Glossop, Charlesworth, Chisworth and Rowarth have not been completed. As a result of this crews have been instructed to make a double collection for these properties on the next scheduled brown bin collection which will take place on the 30th January. 

Wednesday 15th January 

Due to access issues caused by roadworks brown and green bin collections on Simmondley Village and Simmondley Old Road have not been completed. Crews will return to complete collections once access is available. 

If there is no information on this page as to why your bin may have been missed please complete our online form to let us know. Missed bins must be reported after 4pm as the crews may still be out working and within 2 working days of your scheduled collection day. If you have already reported your bin as missed please allow five working days for the crew to return.

We will not return to empty your bin if

  • it is not out for collection when visit your street
  • you put the wrong bin out for collection
  • it contains incorrect materials and has been stickered by our crew
  • it is too heavy to move
  • you report it missed more than 2 working days after collection was due
  • the contents of your bin are frozen and won't come out when we tip the bin

Additional waste
If you have any additional material  for recycling please put it next to your bin in a cardboard box or untied carrier bags. Tied bags will not be collected as we can't see what is inside.

Frozen bins
If the lid of your bin is frozen shut or the contents of your bin are frozen inside and don't tip out we will not come back to try again. There is no need to contact us. Please take your bin in and present it again on your next scheduled collection day.
