Black bag collections from Monday and Tuesday properties on the caged van round - will be done on the scheduled day next week

Please be patient, we will get back to empty your bin as soon as we can.

Parked cars blocked access to empty -

  • Friday's black and green lidded bins in The Ashes, Glossop
  • Thursday's brown bins from Smalldale Cottages, Smalldale
  • Thursday's black bins in Bagshaw Lane, Sparrowpit

We will try again for all these next week.

Contents frozen inside bins
During cold weather the contents of bins sometimes freezes inside and does not all come out when we tip the bin. This is most common with green lidded bins because garden and food waste has a high moisture content and freezes easily.

We don't come back when we have tried to empty the bin but not all the contents have tipped out.

Additional material for recycling
If you have additional recycling please leave it next to your brown bin in a cardboard box or untied carrier bags so we can clearly see the material is recycling.  Black sacks or tied bags will not be taken.
