Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

The Council's Statement of Community Involvement sets out how we intend to involve local people, businesses and other stakeholders in the preparation of planning policy documents and sets out our approach to consulting people over planning applications.  Our existing SCI was adopted in 2006.

The Council is reviewing the existing SCI and will update the document to take account of the Council's latest approach to community engagement and recent changes to government planning rules relating to consultation on planning policies and planning applications.

Consultation on the review of the Statement of Community Involvement is being undertaken between Tuesday 6th November and Wednesday 19th December.  Hard copies of the document can be obtained during normal office hours from Buxton Town Hall, Glossop Municipal Buildings and all Borough libraries.   Comment online
