Premises licences
Information on how to apply for a premises licence, vary or transfer and more
SCAM Alert!
Our Licensing Team has been made aware of a licence fee scam where fraudsters have contacted alcohol licence holders saying their licence is going to be "cancelled" unless a renewal payment is made.
The Council would not contact a licence holder to demand payment over the phone, all annual fee payment requests are made via invoice and follow-up reminders which detail methods by which the licence holder can contact us to make payment.
If a payment is late or a correspondence address has been changed and the Licensing Team has not been informed, a licence holder may be contacted by phone to investigate. Payment would not be requested during this call, rather contact information would be obtained in order to redirect the invoice.
Should you receive a call that you believe to be fraudulent, please make no payments instead contact High Peak Licensing Team at licensing@highpeak.gov.uk to enquire and confirm.
Important Announcement for Licensed Premises
Following an emergency legislation update from the UK Government, licensing hours have been automatically extended for the England vs. Mexico World Cup match on Monday.
- The Extension: All licensed pubs and bars with existing on-premises alcohol licences can remain open and serve alcohol until 05:00.
We are currently contacting all Premises Licence Holders whose Late Temporary Event Notices were rejected due to insufficient time.
