Bins and recycling

Our collection crews are working hard to continue collecting your waste during these difficult times and are socially distancing wherever possible. This means your bin may be emptied at a different time than normal.

Please make sure your bin is out by 6am on collection day (or the night before). We are unable to return to empty any bins not out when we visit your street.

Our bin collection services are operating as normal.
Visit our  collection update page for information on any changes to normal service.

In households where there are confirmed or suspected cases of  COVID-19 only personal waste (such as used tissues) and disposable cleaning cloths need to be double bagged. The first tied bag should be placed into another bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste for at least 72 hours (3 days) before being put in the outside bin for collection.  All other household waste and recycling can be disposed of as normal.

This is to minimise the risk of any infected waste coming into contact with our collection crew or being exposed to the atmosphere during the collection process.
