UK Shared Prosperity Fund

The High Peak UKSPF programme ended on 31st March 2026.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund provided £25.17 million of funding for local investment across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire in 2025/26. This funding, distributed by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), aimed to boost pride in place and increase life chances in the region. The investment focused on supporting communities and businesses, as well as developing skills for individuals.

In High Peak, UKSPF had three priority areas:

  • Communities and Place; £527,921
  • Support for Local Business £295,777
  • People and Skills £35,000

Total High Peak UKSPF allocation 2025/26: £898,698

The programme was delivered using:-

  1. Procurement 
  2. Direct spend by High Peak Borough Council
  3. Award of grants through a competitive grant process

The High Peak UKSPF Investment Plan was submitted in August 2022 as below.

A UKSPF Board was established to oversee the delivery of UKSPF in High Peak.


The Rural Fund

The High Peak Rural Fund ended on 31st March 2026.

The Council received £120,261 additional capital spend from the Rural England Prosperity Fund.

The Rural Fund was managed alongside the UKSPF allocation and overseen by the UKSPF Board.
