Energy Efficiency Grants Programme

Funding is still available for houses which do not use mains gas for heating.

Qualification criteria:

  • You are off gas (can have gas connection for cooking but use a different fuel as their main heating). 
  • You are an owner-occupier 
  • Your home has an Energy Performance Certificate of D, E, F or G. You can check your EPC online using www.epcregister.com. We can get you a free EPC if you haven't got one.
  • You receive a means-tested benefit OR your combined annual household income is under £31,000 (gross)

Second homes are not eligible - it has to be a primary residence. Private landlords can apply but they will need to pay a contribution towards the work. Eligibility will be based on the tenant. Measures are subject to survey. 

Energy Efficiency Grants Programme - Sustainable Warmth Derbyshire (Green Homes Grant Phase 3)

We are working in partnership with Marches Energy Agency (Warmer Derby and Derbyshire) and E'on to deliver a government funded project to upgrade the energy efficiency of privately owned homes.

Funding is limited so please apply early.

The funding is for households with an income of up to £31,000. You must own or privately rent your home. Private rented homes will also require permission and a contribution to the costs from the landlord.

The grants are for households with poor energy performance. This can be assessed as part of the application process.

Projects the funding could be used for includes loft or cavity wall insulations, solar panels , air source heat pumps or other measures appropriate to improve the energy performance of your house.
