Persimmon are currently on site building 26 First Time Buyer Homes.

Eligibility Criteria

First Time Buyer:

  • The buyer is a first time buyer and has never bought a residential property, here or anywhere else abroad; has never bought a lease for a residential property with more than 21 years left to run; and has never acquired a residential property through either a sale or a lease arrangement with a financial institution.
  • The buyer is aged at least 23 years old but has not yet reached the age of 40 at the date of legal completion
  • The buyer is not nor has ever been the registered owner of any other residential dwellings in England

Local Connection:

  • Suitable Offer
    • resident within the Buxton Area for a minimum of 5 years,
    • can demonstrate a local connection or who has a family association within the Buxton Area
    • person with employment in the Buxton Area
  • Satisfactory Offer
    • resident within the High Peak Area for a minimum of 5 years
    • can demonstrate a local connection or who has a family association within the High Peak Area
    • person with employment in the High Peak Area

The Buxton Area is defined as towns, villages and immediately surrounding areas in the High Peak Borough comprising Buxton including Harpur Hill, Smalldale, Peakdale and Sterndale Moor.

Additional criteria:

Financial Criteria

  • Maximum household income of £80,000
  • Unable to purchase a home suitable for your needs without assistance
  • Savings must not exceed 20% of the discounted property price

Housing need

Priority will be given to:

  • Those living in unsuitable housing conditions
  • Existing Social Housing Tenants
  • MOD Personnel

Household Size eligibility

Applicants will be assessed for their household bedroom requirements, priority will be given to households who can demonstrate a genuine need for either a two or three bedroom property
