Affordable housing schemes

Affordable housing schemes that are due to complete across the High Peak in 2017.

Laurel View, North Road, Glossop

Taylor Wimpey are currently on site building 45 affordable homes. The new homes are a mixture of affordable rent and discounted market sale.

Properties to be sold

9 properties will be sold as discounted market sale, with the first 3 to complete August 2017. The properties will be sold at 80% of market value to eligible persons using the eligibility criteria set out below. Eligibility Criteria

Local Connection:

  • a person ordinarily resident within the Glossop Area for a minimum of 5 year
  • a person who can demonstrate a local connection or who has a family association within the Glossop area
  • persons with employment in the Glossop Area

The Glossop Area is defined as towns, villages and immediately surrounding areas in the High Peak Borough comprising Glossop, Old Glossop, Hadfield, Padfield, Tintwistle, Gamesley, Charlesworth, Chisworth, Simmondley and Dinting.

Financial Criteria:

  • Maximum household income of £60k
  • Unable to purchase a home suitable for your needs without assistance
  • Savings must not exceed 30% of the discounted property price

Housing need:

Priority will be given to;

  • Those living in unsuitable housing conditions
  • Existing Social Housing Tenants
  • MOD Personnel
  • First Time Buyers

Properties to be rented

The 1, 2 and 3 bed affordable rented properties will be advertised and let through Home Options  and will be managed by Peaks and Plains Housing Trust

Becket's Brow, Hayfield Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith

Barratt Homes are completing 35 affordable homes as part of their exclusive new development in Chapel-en-le-Frith. The new homes are a mixture of affordable rent, shared ownership and discount market sale.

Properties to rent

The remaining affordable rented units will be advertised and let through Home Options and will be managed by Great Places Housing Association.

Octavia Gardens, Manchester Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith

Peaks & Plains Housing Trust are working with Barratt Homes to deliver 32 affordable homes across this exclusive new development.

Properties will be a range of familiy homes and apartments both for rent and shared ownership. The first homes were completed in 2016.

The rented properties will be advertised on Home Options .  If you are interested in one of the shared ownership properties please contact Peaks & Plains Housing Trust directly to discuss your eligibility.
