Derbyshire County Council have published the following press release after the announcement of extra restrictions for parts of High Peak in the Prime Ministers speech today.

Extra restrictions will be imposed across parts of the High Peak after a surge in coronavirus cases, it has been announced today.
Although cases are rising across Derbyshire, cases in the Glossopdale area remain among the highest in the county with 99 people testing positive between 4 and 10 October compared to 76 the previous week.
Infection rates in the area now stand at 294 per 100,000 - more than twice the average Derbyshire rate.
Speaking in the Commons today, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that parts of the High Peak will be put into Tier 2 of the Government's new Covid alert system - and will be placed on 'high' alert from Wednesday.
As well as following the continued guidance to wash hands, stay apart and wear a face covering it means:
- Different households or support bubbles should not mix indoors - at home, someone else's home, pubs, restaurants, hotels or other hospitality venues, leisure venues or shops.
- Outdoors people should stick to the Rule of Six, including children.
- Only travel if essential
- If going on holiday, this should only be with the people they live with or that are in their support bubble.
- Organised sport is only allowed outdoors
- Team sports are only allowed if it been formally organised by a sports club or similar organisation, and sports-governing body guidance has been issued.
- Spectators are not permitted at amateur or professional sporting events.
Derbyshire's Director of Public Health Dean Wallace, who is leading the county's response to the outbreak, urged people to follow the tighter 'lockdown' rules.
"We all have a duty to do everything it takes to stop the spread of this highly contagious virus.
"The steep rise in the numbers of cases is deeply concerning, although not surprising given the close proximity to areas which have been under extra restrictions for a while, so it's more important than ever that we all work together to beat this.
"I'm really proud of the way Derbyshire communities have supported each other through this epidemic but this isn't over - we simply can't afford to take our eye off the ball.
"I realise that these extra restrictions on our lives will be frustrating but they are also necessary as we're seeing a lot of community transmission in that area.
"I cannot emphasise enough that from Wednesday people from different households should not be mixing indoors, unless it is with people who are in their 'bubble' and they should stick to the 'Rule of 6' when outside.
"I know it's difficult but I'm asking everyone to summon their famous Derbyshire spirit and play their part to keep themselves, their family, friends and colleagues safe," he said.
The extra restrictions will be reviewed after four weeks.
Once details of the areas affected are confirmed by Government, residents will be able to check if they live in an area with extra restrictions using a new online post-code checker available on Derbyshire County Council's website.
They will also be able to see at a glance what restrictions are in place for their area based on the Government's new alert system.
Council Leader Councillor Barry Lewis added: "I welcome the announcement from the Prime Minister that there will be extra support for businesses affected by tougher restrictions.
"We are at a tipping point. With winter approaching it is vital that we get the spread of this virus under control so that we can protect the most vulnerable members of our communities.
"So my message to everyone is: 'Let's do this for Derbyshire'."
