There's enough to do at Christmas without having to remember any changes to bin collections so we're making it easy to keep on track this festive season.
All the information you need is now available on High Peak Borough Council's website at www.highpeak.gov.uk/findyourbinday
There will be no bin collections on Monday 27 December, Tuesday 28 December and Monday 3 January and bin rounds throughout the festive period have been rearranged to accommodate the changes. Green-lidded bin collections will be suspended until the New Year.
Executive Councillor for Climate Change, Environment and Community Safety, Jean Todd, said: "We're all busy enough at Christmas without having to remember any changes to bin collections as well - so we've made it quick and easy to check via our website.
"The online bin collection calendar has been updated with the changes to rounds over the festive period and you can check when your collections are by simply entering your postcode and selecting your address.
"Our website also includes information about what goes in your bins just in case anyone needs a reminder."
Bins must be presented by 6am on collection day.
Although the green-lidded bin will not be collected over Christmas, residents are advised to continue putting all cooked and uncooked food waste (including vegetable peelings and bones) in their bins in preparation for the rounds to begin again.
