Septic tank upgrades
Free septic tank upgrades offered to local residents to help protect High Peak's rivers!
Householders within the River Wye Catchment which runs through High Peak, are being invited to take part in this government-backed initiative to help protect the local environment.
This government initiative covers the cost of replacing septic tanks for eligible owners, with a Package Treatment Plant (PTP), reducing pollution from outdated systems and supporting cleaner waterways.
Old or poorly performing septic tanks will be replaced completely free of charge, as part of this initiative to help protect Peak District Dales SAC (Special Area of Conservation) and support much-needed housing development.
The initiative, delivered by Industry leading wastewater engineers WCI Group working in partnership with High Peak Borough Council and Alliance Norse, targets properties whose existing systems discharge excess phosphorus and nitrogen into the local waterways.

For householders, the process is simple.
