Biodiversity Net Gain
Here you can find information about Biodiversity Net Gain including the legal requirements and FAQs.
Since April 2024, it has been a legal requirement for most forms of planning schemes in England to deliver at least a 10% net gain in biodiversity as a condition of planning permission under S.98 of the Environment Act 2021.
The council has developed these webpages to support developers, landowners and other interested parties in the implementation of BNG across the High Peak.
