Tell us what you think about where you live
Residents across the High Peak are being invited to help shape the future priorities for social, economic and environmental development in the towns, villages, and communities where they live.
High Peak Borough Council is developing action plans to inform how investment, services, and partnerships are developed at a local level and wants to hear directly from the people who live there to:
· Gather their views on what is working well locally
· Hear what could be improved
· Understand what 'good' looks like for your community in the future
A series of online meetings are taking place in June and people interested in taking part can register now on the Council's website.
Councillor Anthony Mckeown, Council Leader, said: "Changes to how local government operates across Derbyshire are coming. Whilst we await the Government's final decisions on what this means for the High Peak, we want to do all we can to ensure our towns, villages, and communities are in the best position to continue to thrive now and in the future.
"That's why we're doing this work now and why we need the people who live and work here to get involved. You don't need any specialist knowledge, just your experience of living locally.
"There's more information on our website so I'd encourage people to take a look and, if they're able, to join us at the session that is local them so their voices are heard and we can factor in what matters to people in the High Peak as we plan for the future."
The four locality areas and the dates of the engagement sessions are:
