£37,563- £41,177 per annum pro rata

plus essential car user allowance

Employed by High Peak Borough Council

LGR: this position will transfer to Derbyshire North Council

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated Technical Officer (Food Safety, Health & Safety, Licensing), to join our specialist Food Safety Service.

You will be working as part of a team, effectively contributing to the work of the Environmental Health Service responsible for implementing and delivering planned food hygiene inspections, investigating infectious disease cases and outbreaks, and responding to complaints, service requests and enquiries, taking necessary enforcement action to improve standards and protect public health.

You will be able to demonstrate a responsible, flexible approach and a commitment to providing a high-quality service.

You will have operational experience of working within Food Safety and possess the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to be able to undertake investigations, interventions, and enforcement in this field.

You will have achieved or be working towards one of the relevant qualifications in the essential criteria for this post or be looking to build your experience with a leading joint food authority.
