Carelink Service

We have made the difficult decision to close the Carelink service on 30 September 2026.

Protecting vulnerable people remains our priority and we will provide personalised support to help our customers move to an alternative provider if they choose to do so.

The Carelink service will continue to operate as normal until the closure date.

Why we have made this decision

This has been a very difficult decision. Carelink is a discretionary service provided by the Council. For several years, the service has struggled to recruit and retain the level of staff required to safely deliver the service. Customer safety is our priority; however, despite our best efforts, we can no longer provide the service safely in its current form.

Help and support

We will be contacting all our Carelink customers and, if you prefer, your families, carers, or someone you trust, to talk through your options, help you arrange alternative support, and refer you to other services if needed.

If you would like to talk to someone sooner, or need help accessing the information, please call us on 0345 129 8075 or email Community-Alarm@highpeak.gov.uk

Alternative providers

We will be providing details of alternative providers and will help you to choose and sign up to another service if you wish ensuring that you continue to have access to the support you need.
