Second Benefit

This form should be completed if you currently receive housing benefit or council tax reduction and ;

  • You have recently contacted us because your circumstances have changed
  • Our benefits team have advised that you are now entitled to a second benefit / reduction as a result of your change

Before completing this form you should already have informed us of your change in circumstances. The benefits team will normally have been in contact with you to ask you to complete this form.

How to apply

To apply for a second benefit you will need to create or log in to a High Peak online account. If you don't have one already, click the button below and register. If you already have an account with us you can also log in here.

Once you're registered

  • go to 'Submit a request' and select the 'Benefits - Second benefit' form
  • it should take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete
  • you will need to have your personal and income details ready
  • you can upload scanned / saved evidence of your address, income and other benefits or do this later

Tracking the progress of your claim

When you have submitted your application through your online account, you will be able to track it from start to finish. We will contact you (usually via email), if we need any further information, and to let you know the progress of your claim.
