Round 1 of this grant is now closed.
Grants are available to voluntary and/or community organisations, Town and/or Parish Councils and will be assessed on an individual basis with around £5,000 available for each event. These grants include support for local events over 2 years - 2023/24 and 2024/25 and could be used to set up a new event or to increase the viability or an existing event. If the grant is used to enhance an existing event evidence must be provided to show the activity is additional what has previously been delivered.
You may wish to submit a request for larger or smaller amounts than the £5,000 available which will be taken into consideration when your application is assessed. Key measures of success will be increasing footfall and visitor numbers on the day of the event and for host organisations to create or safeguard jobs where possible.
Applicants should note that if successful in a grant award they will be required to procure any items required in compliance with UKSPF procurement guidelines.
The grant award will not cover or include any recoverable VAT incurred by your organisation and you should make your own enquiries of HMRC as to the recoverability of any VAT your organisation incurs.
Applicants will be paid in arrears for the work on completion.
Applications will be assessed by Council Officers and if eligible approved by the High Peak UK Shared Prosperity Board.
Further information will be required if your application is approved as part of a due diligence exercise followed by a Grant Offer Letter (Agreement) setting out the terms and conditions and required outcomes.
There will be a Round 2 only if sufficient funding remains after Round 1 closes.
