Three new business and community grants now open

Three new grants for local businesses and communities have been launched this week and the Borough Council is now inviting applications.
The funding, totalling £292,261, is from the UK Shared Prosperity and Rural England Prosperity funds allocated to the Council by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMMCA).
The funding seeks to help businesses and the community contribute to delivering healthy, safe and inclusive communities, thriving communities, and support for business - the key themes of the Government's shared prosperity agenda.
Council Leader, Councillor Anthony Mckeown, said: "We want to support local businesses and community groups to help make the High Peak thrive and be known as a place where people want to come and live, work and visit.
"The grants we are now making available have been designed to help meet local needs by tackling issues and providing support at a very local level. We're looking forward to receiving applications and ensuring this funding can help support local businesses and groups to make a difference."
Businesses can apply for the:
- High Peak Business Development Grant - up to £10,000 per applicant/organisation for new technologies and processes and/or the adoption of new or improved products or services that could lead to business growth
Community organisations, including town and parish councils, can now apply for:
- High Peak Community Infrastructure Capital Grant - funding of up to £10,000 to help bring communities together through investment in infrastructure
- High Peak Arts and Events Grants - grants of up to £3,000 to help bring communities together through arts, cultural or heritage activities or events that form part of community-led programmes and offer volunteering opportunities
The closing date for applications for all of the grants is 15 June 2025 for projects that can be delivered between July this year and the end of January 2026.
