UKSPF Project Delivery
At the heart of the UKSPF investment plan was the need to deliver strategic projects to support economic growth and a sense of pride in place in our communities.
Through the UKSPF and EMCCA programme almost £2.1 million was allocated to projects and programmes of activity under the three priority areas of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund:
- Communities & Place
- Supporting Local Business
- People & Skills
Examples of these programmes include:
- New playground equipment and accessibility improvements
- Improved active travel routes (pathways and cycle ways)
- Council Housing improvement programme (insulation and lighting)
- Dedicated tourism campaigns promoting our Towns & villages
- Dedicated community & voluntary sector support (grant funding, infrastructure development)
- Tailored business support programme (training, advice, guidance, decarbonisation)
- Improvements to strategic cultural & heritage buildings
- Bespoke adult skills provision.
