Food waste

Detail on how to recycle food waste

Preparations are underway to commence separate weekly food waste collections in the High Peak. Once the service starts residents will need to present any food waste separately from garden waste in the caddy provided.

Delivery of the food waste starter packs (which will include a small counter top caddy, larger outdoor caddy and a roll of bin liners) will take approximately 6 weeks and start from 27 July. Food waste collections will start from 14 September.

Please continue to use your green-lidded bin for your food waste until the new service starts.

More information on the delivery of the caddys will be published here soon.
